In today’s fast paced life it is very important that we maintain a healthy mindset to excel in our day to day commitment. In this regard, a healthy workplace encompassing physical & mental, emotional, and social well-being is very important. Often,we get stressed and overwhelmed due to a number of factors which in turn affect our mental well being. It’s a normal reaction that occurs when you encounter changes or challenges. For a happy and calm mind, techniques like mindfulness, meditation, exercise and relaxation reduce the effects of stress on your body and are very helpful to maintain a balanced life.
We at Air Liquide take both physical and mental health wellbeing earnestly and In line with this philosophy, we have Introduced wellness Initiatives at the workplace. This month, Air Liquide India celebrated Mental Health Month and introduced three sessions with experts in their respective fields so as to incorporate positivity and calmness.
Laugh more
Studies show that laughing reduces the stress hormone and it boosts your mood. Keeping this in mind, we celebrated Laughter Yoga ,a wonderful session where we learned to laugh with our hearts out. The more we laughed ,the more relaxed we started to feel.The session brought a sense of happiness and childlike innocence. It made us realise how important it is to practise laughter and feel rejuvenated through this unique yet powerful mode of yoga.
Calm your mind
Mindfulness with music healing is the best way to lower our heart rate and calm our mind. The sounds of musical instrument were enriching and truly relaxing. With ample positive energies emitted through the instrument, we all felt a surge of positivity and calmness flowing through our bodies.
Parenting with Purpose
As Parents, we truly and dedicatedly want to support and understand our children so as to attend to their needs, their aspirations & their challenges. This session made us understand ourselves, to understand our children and to build their childhood in the most positive way, hence building them as an empathetic, optimistic and a compassionate individual.
In this Initiative, we feel we were able to take the first step towards a happy and relaxed mind. The sense of achieving Zen is a long way but we can start channelizing through positive thoughts ,the beginning of “A Peaceful mind”
